Schedule Your One-on-One Orientation:

We’re thrilled to have you on board and want to ensure you’re fully equipped to make the most of everything we have to offer. To help you get started, you will want to complete your required Orientation Onboarding with Melinda Lee. This is your chance to familiarize yourself with all the tools, resources, and support available to you as a Dalton Wade agent. You should aim to complete this within one week of joining our brokerage.

Join Your Local Board & MLS
if You Haven't Done So Already

Dalton Wade requires all agents to join a local Real Estate Board. Through that board you can join your local MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and receive your NAR (National Association of REALTORS®) designation. To view all the associations Dalton Wade is a member of, please click here. This is required for all DW agents, regardless of which state you reside in.

If you are apart of the following MLSs, you will need to set up your MLS subscription on our website here as they charge the brokerage directly. Remember, you need to apply on their websites first, this is just for the reoccurring fees.

Setup LockBox Access to Show Homes:

Set up your electronic lockbox access through your local board to easily access homes for showings, as most homes are equipped with electronic lockboxes. If you have a listing coming up, you can also purchase electronic lockboxes directly from your local board.

Email & Email Signature:

One of the first steps in building your real estate business is to create a dedicated, professional email address. Many agents opt for a free Gmail account, but if you want to enhance your brand further, you might consider purchasing a custom domain email address through a provider like GoDaddy.

In addition to setting up your email, it’s crucial to include an email signature that reflects your professionalism and ensures brand consistency. Your signature should include your full name, contact information, and any relevant credentials or company logos.

For examples and guidance on setting up your email and creating a polished signature, be sure to check your Orientation Packet. Following these tips will help you establish a strong, professional presence from the start!

If you do end up creating a new dedicated email, and you want to use that for all Dalton Wade communications, please send an email to our Support Team so we can update our internal systems.

Get a Professional Headshot & Order Marketing Materials

Make sure to have a professional headshot taken for use on all your marketing materials. You can easily order business cards, listing or open house signs, and even nametags through our company portal. To view marketing materials available for you, please click here.

Want to design your own? Feel free to use our Branding Guidelines and logos here, and then send a proof to [email protected] for approval.

Update Your Dalton Wade Agent Website

To complete your profile on DaltonWade.com and make it easier for clients to find you online, please send your professional headshot and a brief bio (a short paragraph highlighting your background and real estate experience) to [email protected].

We use kvCORE for our agent websites, which offers a range of customization options to help you stand out. Once your profile is complete with your headshot, you’ll also be displayed on our Agent Roster page, making it simple for potential clients to locate and contact you directly. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your site with custom landing pages, tailored search options, and featured listings that reflect your unique market focus. Voicemail:

Set up a professional voicemail greeting stating your name, company, and that you will get back with them shortly. Leads may not bother to leave a message if you don’t have voicemail set up – that is missed business! Check out your Orientation Packet for voicemail templates!

Ensure Your Online Presence is Professional and Complete

In today’s digital world, it’s essential for clients to be able to find you online. Not being visible can make you appear unprofessional. Start by creating a free professional profile on Zillow and Realtor.com where you can add your past sales and request client reviews.

Next, set up Facebook and Instagram Business Pages, and be sure to post regularly to engage with your audience. Also, establish a Google Business Page and remember to ask satisfied clients to leave reviews. Tip: Make sure to have your full name on your Google Business Page!

If you want to broaden your reach further, consider creating a business presence on Pinterest, Twitter, and even a YouTube Channel.

Setting Up Voicemail

Dress the Part and Maintain a Professional Image

Remember, you’re selling high-value assets—real estate! For many clients, buying or selling a home is the biggest financial decision they’ll ever make, and they need to feel confident in your professionalism. Always dress appropriately to reflect the importance of your role. Additionally, ensure your vehicle is clean and presentable when driving to meet leads at showings.

Join the DW Agent Facebook Group:

Join our Facebook Group to stay connected with the brokerage and your fellow agents! It’s a valuable space where agents seek advice, network, arrange meet-ups, exchange referrals, request recommendations, and even host open houses. We also post training opportunities and respond to your questions there.

That’s why we offer a wide range of training sessions – both live and on-demand – designed to keep you informed, motivated, and ahead of the competition. Whether you’re a seasoned agent or just starting out, our comprehensive training programs cover everything from contract training, lead conversion, how to run an Open House, social media training with Paradym and more.

There are a few trainings we do require agents to attend. Below are the links to the on-demand versions of these trainings, but we highly recommend to attend the in-person sessions over Zoom so you can ask questions along the way.   6. Paradym- Social Media automatically done for you! Come to training to learn how to set up your social media to be automated to enhance your RE business online. Access your Paradym account via the email invite you receive after orientation.
