Estoppel Certificate Fee Adjustments for 2022 – What You Need To Know

Happy August! Did you know? Every 5 Years the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is able to reaccess the fees that associations can charge for estoppels? We break it down for you, here! The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) has released the first five-year adjustment to Estoppel Certificate Fees. This is permitted under Section 718.116(8)(f), Florida Statutes, of the Condominium Act and Section 720.30851(6), Florida Statutes, of the Homeowners’ Association Act for the maximum amount an association, or its authorized agent, may charge for preparation and delivery of an estoppel certificate. Single Unit/Parcel
Estoppel Certificate Request:

-The old authorized fee $250: the new authorized fee of no more than $299 can be charged for preparation and delivery of an estoppel certificate.

-Previously it was $100 for additional fee if requested on an expedited basis
(three business days) the new authorized fee is not to exceed $119

The old additional authorized fee if a delinquency exists was $150 now it is not to exceed $179
